Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape, Deys, Mallorca; and two further works by the same hand by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was worth GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,831.42) to a buyer in October 2005. This price was achieved in the auction Twentieth Century British Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 600.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Olive Trees, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).

Die Arbeit Landscape, Deys, Mallorca; and two further works by the same hand von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge war einem Käufer im Oktober 2005 GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.831,42) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Olive Trees beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07) versteigert wurde.
