Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cottages through the trees; and nine further works by the same hand by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 480.00 (€ 707.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Olive Trees in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cottages through the trees; and nine further works by the same hand von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge kam im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 707,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Olive Trees im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
