Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Cat; and nine further works by the same hand by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2005. The result of GBP 300.00 (€ 442.41) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olive Trees in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Cat; and nine further works by the same hand von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge wurde im Oktober 2005 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 300,00 (€ 442,41) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olive Trees im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
