This artwork by Jan Mari ten Kate achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2012. In the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction, the work Feeding time sold for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,980.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Mari ten Kate - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Departure Of The Fishing Fleet, Volendam, which sold at auction in April 2007 for EUR 10,800.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Mari ten Kate erzielte im September 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit Feeding time für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.980,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Mari ten Kate mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Departure Of The Fishing Fleet, Volendam beobachtet, die im April 2007 für EUR 10.800,00 versteigert wurde.
