In April this year Bonhams held the auction Home & Interiors, which included the work Outside chores; An accident on the ice the first 39.4 x 34.9cm (15 1/2 x 13 3/4in); the second 32.1 x 42.8cm (12 5/8 x 16 7/8in). (2) by Jan Mari ten Kate. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,235.12), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Mari ten Kate have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Departure Of The Fishing Fleet, Volendam in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 10,800.00.

Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Home & Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Outside chores; An accident on the ice the first 39.4 x 34.9cm (15 1/2 x 13 3/4in); the second 32.1 x 42.8cm (12 5/8 x 16 7/8in). (2) von Jan Mari ten Kate zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.235,12) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Mari ten Kate auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Departure Of The Fishing Fleet, Volendam im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.800,00.
