Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Henbury the seat of Mr John Sampson; Flaxley the seat of Mrs Bovey; Fairfold the seat of Samuel Barker; and Syston the seat of Samuel Trotman by Johannes Kip was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 456.00 (€ 677.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Kip achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group of six views of English Gardens and Estates in February 2002 with an auction result of USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,821.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Henbury the seat of Mr John Sampson; Flaxley the seat of Mrs Bovey; Fairfold the seat of Samuel Barker; and Syston the seat of Samuel Trotman von Johannes Kip kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
