In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Broadwell the seat of Danvers Hodges Esq; West Prospect of Gloucester City To the Mayor and Alderman; Gloster City Thomas Brown Esq Alderman; Badminton the seat of the Duke of Beaufort; Witcombe Park the seat of Sr Michaell Hickes; Wyck the seat of R sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,514.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Kip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A group of six views of English Gardens and Estates, which sold at auction in February 2002 for USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,821.32).
