In April 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Red Finger Mick) by Johannes Kahrs. The auction ended at the price of EUR 35,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Kahrs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work O.T. (Schmerz) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,000.00 (€ 258,491.84).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Red Finger Mick) von Johannes Kahrs zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 35.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Kahrs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit O.T. (Schmerz) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.000,00 (€ 258.491,84).
