A top price for Johannes Kahrs - as previously expected
The work O.T. (Schmerz) by Johannes Kahrs was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2007. The price achieved of GBP 180,000.00 (€ 258,491.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, O.T. (Schmerz) is the most expensive artwork by Johannes Kahrs that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit O.T. (Schmerz) von Johannes Kahrs wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 180.000,00 (€ 258.491,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist O.T. (Schmerz) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Johannes Kahrs, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
