Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Man Undressing) by Johannes Kahrs was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2017. It changed hands for a price of EUR 65,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Kahrs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work O.T. (Schmerz), which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 180,000.00 (€ 258,491.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Man Undressing) von Johannes Kahrs kam im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 65.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Kahrs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit O.T. (Schmerz) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 180.000,00 (€ 258.491,84) versteigert wurde.
