Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Girl In The Papers) by Johannes Kahrs. The price achieved of EUR 37,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Kahrs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work O.T. (Schmerz) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,000.00 (€ 258,491.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Girl In The Papers) von Johannes Kahrs zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 37.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Kahrs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit O.T. (Schmerz) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.000,00 (€ 258.491,84).
