Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The pier of IJmuiden at sunset by Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2011. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bringing In The Catch in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 90,000.00.

Die Arbeit The pier of IJmuiden at sunset von Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek kam im September 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bringing In The Catch im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 90.000,00.
