In September 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Harbour At Amsterdam by Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 31,500.00 (€ 36,650.69), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bringing In The Catch, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 90,000.00.

Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Harbour At Amsterdam von Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 36.650,69) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Hermanus Barend Koekkoek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bringing In The Catch beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 90.000,00 versteigert wurde.
