Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work A rugged Italianate landscape with a castle on a hill by Johannes Glauber for GBP 630.00 (€ 740.09). This price was achieved in the auction Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Glauber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Classical wooded landscape with the Judgement of Paris in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,590.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A rugged Italianate landscape with a castle on a hill von Johannes Glauber für GBP 630,00 (€ 740,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Glauber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Classical wooded landscape with the Judgement of Paris im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 29.590,01).
