Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A River Landscape With Apollo And Daphne; A Bosky River Landscape With A Couple And Their Sheep In The Foreground, Possibly Daphnis And Chloe by Johannes Glauber was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,342.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Glauber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Classical wooded landscape with the Judgement of Paris, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,590.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A River Landscape With Apollo And Daphne; A Bosky River Landscape With A Couple And Their Sheep In The Foreground, Possibly Daphnis And Chloe von Johannes Glauber im April 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
