Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Johannes Franciscus Spohler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March last year. In the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction, the work On the canal each 26.2 x 21.4cm (10 1/4 x 8 1/2in). (2) sold for GBP 21,500.00 (€ 25,490.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Franciscus Spohler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A busy town in winter; and Gentlemen by an Amsterdam canal in summer, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 62,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Franciscus Spohler erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit On the canal each 26.2 x 21.4cm (10 1/4 x 8 1/2in). (2) für GBP 21.500,00 (€ 25.490,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Franciscus Spohler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A busy town in winter; and Gentlemen by an Amsterdam canal in summer beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für EUR 62.400,00 versteigert wurde.
