Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 auction, the work Studies Of Insects sold for EUR 18,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Johannes Bronckhorst; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Four sheets of studies showing different species of tropical marine fish, including two species of blenny and a butterfly fish (no. 1); a grunt, a parrotfish and a banded butterfly fish (no. 2); a grouper, marbled grouper and butterfly fish (no. 3); sold at auction in July 2011 with the realized price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,822.12
