Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johannes Bosschaert could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings auction, the work Bouquet of tulips, lilies, and carnations in a glass vase with apples, grapes, a lizard and butterfly, in a stone niche changed hands for USD 189,000.00 (€ 176,125.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Johannes Bosschaert have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May this year by the work Blumen in einer Vase at EUR 226,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Bosschaert konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Bouquet of tulips, lilies, and carnations in a glass vase with apples, grapes, a lizard and butterfly, in a stone niche für USD 189.000,00 (€ 176.125,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Johannes Bosschaert wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Blumen in einer Vase mit EUR 226.800,00.
