Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures skating on a frozen river beneath the town walls by Johannes Duntze was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,404.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Duntze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Skaters at a Dutch hamlet in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 48,896.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures skating on a frozen river beneath the town walls von Johannes Duntze kam im November 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.404,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Duntze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Skaters at a Dutch hamlet im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 48.896,89).
