Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Waldlandschaft mit Taufe Christi by Johann Jakob Hartmann. It changed hands for a price of EUR 9,920.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Jakob Hartmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape With The Conversion Of St. Paul; Landscape With St. John The Baptist Preaching in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 164,500.00 (€ 125,774.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waldlandschaft mit Taufe Christi von Johann Jakob Hartmann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 9.920,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Jakob Hartmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape With The Conversion Of St. Paul; Landscape With St. John The Baptist Preaching im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 164.500,00 (€ 125.774,14).
