Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 15,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Georg Platzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegory of the Five Senses in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 276,000.00 (€ 404,099.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Personnages Attablés Dans Un Intérieur von Johann Georg Platzer kam im Juni 2020 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 15.600,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Georg Platzer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegory of the Five Senses im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.000,00 (€ 404.099,56).
