Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johann Georg Platzer could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Including Three Renaissance Masterworks from Chatsworth auction, the work An Elegant Company Making Merry Outside A Palace changed hands for GBP 145,250.00 (€ 179,133.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Georg Platzer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Allegory of the Five Senses, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 276,000.00 (€ 404,099.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johann Georg Platzer konnte im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Including Three Renaissance Masterworks from Chatsworth wechselte die Arbeit An Elegant Company Making Merry Outside A Palace für GBP 145.250,00 (€ 179.133,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Georg Platzer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Allegory of the Five Senses beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 276.000,00 (€ 404.099,56) versteigert wurde.
