In June 2014 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Classic Sale, which included the work On the watch by Johan Tirén. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 48,000.00 (€ 5,241.78), 37% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Johan Tirén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Lapplägret vid Gleen" (The Laplander camp at Gleen) in June 2012 with an auction result of SEK 290,000.00 (€ 33,102.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Classic Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the watch von Johan Tirén zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 48.000,00 (€ 5.241,78) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Tirén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Lapplägret vid Gleen" (The Laplander camp at Gleen) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 290.000,00 (€ 33.102,31).
