In June 2019 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Spring Sale, which included the work Churchgoers by Johan Tirén. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 55,000.00 (€ 5,236.70), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Johan Tirén have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Lapplägret vid Gleen" (The Laplander camp at Gleen) in June 2012 with an auction result of SEK 290,000.00 (€ 33,102.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Spring Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Churchgoers von Johan Tirén zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 55.000,00 (€ 5.236,70) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Tirén auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Lapplägret vid Gleen" (The Laplander camp at Gleen) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 290.000,00 (€ 33.102,31).
