Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Lekande pojkar" (Boys playing) by Johan Tirén was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 175,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 160,000.00 (€ 15,248.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Tirén - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Lapplägret vid Gleen" (The Laplander camp at Gleen), which sold at auction in June 2012 for SEK 290,000.00 (€ 33,102.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Lekande pojkar" (Boys playing) von Johan Tirén im Dezember 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 175.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 160.000,00 (€ 15.248,95) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Johan Tirén mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Lapplägret vid Gleen" (The Laplander camp at Gleen) beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für SEK 290.000,00 (€ 33.102,31) versteigert wurde.
