Despite a disappointment, a good price for Johan Thurfjell
When the work 'Skulls' by Johan Thurfjell was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 32,000.00 (€ 2,710.07). Despite this disappointing result, 'Skulls' is the most expensive artwork by Johan Thurfjell that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Johan Thurfjell
Als die Arbeit 'Skulls' von Johan Thurfjell im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 32.000,00 (€ 2.710,07) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist 'Skulls' das teuerste Kunstwerk von Johan Thurfjell, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
