Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A study of the head of a man by Johan Thomas Lundbye was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,800.00 (€ 241.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Thomas Lundbye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dänische Landschaft (Studie). in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 6,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit A study of the head of a man von Johan Thomas Lundbye im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.800,00 (€ 241,47) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Thomas Lundbye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dänische Landschaft (Studie). im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.875,00.
