This artwork by Johan Christian Berger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in June last year. In the Important Spring Sale auction, the work "Stockholm" at Skeppsholmen, Stockholm. sold for SEK 105,000.00 (€ 9,698.63) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Johan Christian Berger; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View towards Skeppsholmen and Södermalm in Stockholm sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of SEK 100,000.00 (€ 9,858.20).
