Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Farmyard in wooded landscape by Johan Buning for NLG 585.10 (€ 269.67). This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Johan Buning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A still life with a violin, a bottle, fruits and a book on a table in March 2002 with an auction result of EUR 2,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Farmyard in wooded landscape von Johan Buning für NLG 585,10 (€ 269,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Buning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A still life with a violin, a bottle, fruits and a book on a table im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.350,00.
