The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,200.00 – 3,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,350.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A still life with a violin, a bottle, fruits and a book on a table is the most expensive artwork by Johan Buning that we have observed at auctions so far.
