Auction result well in line with expectations
The work W-90-03-02 Mainz, 1990 by Jörg Sasse was sold in the Photographs Online auction at Sothebys in Paris in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jörg Sasse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 5502 in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 13,145.00 (€ 13,235.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit W-90-03-02 Mainz, 1990 von Jörg Sasse wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Photographs Online bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jörg Sasse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 5502 im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.145,00 (€ 13.235,00).
