Auction result well in line with expectations
The work W-90-03-02 Mainz, 1990 by Jörg Sasse was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jörg Sasse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 5502 in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 13,145.00 (€ 13,235.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit W-90-03-02 Mainz, 1990 von Jörg Sasse kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jörg Sasse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 5502 im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.145,00 (€ 13.235,00).
