This artwork by Joël Stein achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2011. In the The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three auction, the work without title sold for EUR 6,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joël Stein; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cercle Chromatique 66 sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of EUR 12,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joël Stein erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 6.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joël Stein; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cercle Chromatique 66 im April 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 12.500,00.
