Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joël Stein achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in December 2011. In the Contemporary Art 2 auction, the work Composition, 1961 sold for EUR 8,671.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joël Stein; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cercle Chromatique 66 sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of EUR 12,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joël Stein erzielte im Dezember 2011 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art 2 wurde die Arbeit Composition, 1961 für EUR 8.671,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joël Stein; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cercle Chromatique 66 im April 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 12.500,00.
