Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Proposition chromatique I by Joël Stein was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in December 2019. The auction ended at the price of EUR 4,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joël Stein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cercle Chromatique 66, which sold at auction in April 2011 for EUR 12,500.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Proposition chromatique I von Joël Stein wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 4.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joël Stein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cercle Chromatique 66 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
