Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Beak Doctor by Joe Bradley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 302,400.00 (€ 272,604.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Bradley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tres Hombres in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,913,274.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beak Doctor von Joe Bradley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 272.604,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Bradley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tres Hombres im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.913.274,00).
