Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 802,000.00 (€ 759,325.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joaquín Torres-García - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Construcción En Blanco, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).

Die Arbeit Arte Constructivo Con Sol Y Estrella von Joaquín Torres-García kam im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 802.000,00 (€ 759.325,89) einen neuen Besitzer.
