Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oiseau by Joan Miró was sold in the Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part I auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 5,100,000.00 (€ 4,940,424.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joan Miró have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oiseau von Joan Miró wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part I bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.100.000,00 (€ 4.940.424,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Miró auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
