Auction result well in line with expectations
The work AZUL DE JUANA by Jiri Georg Dokoupil was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 50,570.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jiri Georg Dokoupil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zigarette mit Streichhölzern (aus der Schnuller-Bilder Serie) [Cigarette with Matches (from the Pacifier Series)|AID387265] in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 312,000.00 (€ 231,918.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit AZUL DE JUANA von Jiri Georg Dokoupil wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 50.570,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiri Georg Dokoupil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zigarette mit Streichhölzern (aus der Schnuller-Bilder Serie) [Cigarette with Matches (from the Pacifier Series)|AID387265] im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.000,00 (€ 231.918,53).
