Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four women and a chicken by Jimoh Akolo was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 3,812.50 (€ 4,422.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jimoh Akolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bow Harp in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 62,750.00 (€ 74,341.80).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.812,50 (€ 4.422,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jimoh Akolo erzielen.
