Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wishbone by Jimmy Ong was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,862.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Jimmy Ong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Nelli'S Dowry was auctioned for HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,419.23).
