Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Apron by Jimmy Ong was auctioned at Sothebys in Singapore in April 2007. The price achieved of SGD 10,800.00 (€ 5,202.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SGD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jimmy Ong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nelli'S Dowry, which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,419.23).

Die Arbeit The Apron von Jimmy Ong kam im April 2007 bei Sothebys in Singapur zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SGD 10.800,00 (€ 5.202,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SGD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jimmy Ong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nelli'S Dowry beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 223.500,00 (€ 18.419,23) versteigert wurde.
