Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract composition by Jimmy Ernst was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2006. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,680.00 (€ 1,315.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jimmy Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Imminence in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,793.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract composition von Jimmy Ernst kam im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.680,00 (€ 1.315,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jimmy Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Imminence im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 17.793,89).
