Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Back of nude on bed by Jim Page-Roberts. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,615.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Page-Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shed, Chelsea Football Ground in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,866.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Back of nude on bed von Jim Page-Roberts zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.615,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Page-Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Shed, Chelsea Football Ground im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.866,61).
