Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wading Woman in Water by Bridge by Jim Page-Roberts was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,609.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Page-Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Shed, Chelsea Football Ground in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,866.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wading Woman in Water by Bridge von Jim Page-Roberts wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.609,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Page-Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Shed, Chelsea Football Ground im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.866,61).
