In March 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape After Ke Jiusi by Jiang Shijie. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,602.83), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jiang Shijie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 104,258.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im März 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Ke Jiusi von Jiang Shijie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.602,83) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiang Shijie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 104.258,12).
