This artwork by Jiang Lian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Meditation sold for HKD 72,000.00 (€ 7,877.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Lian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beauties In Tang Poetry, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jiang Lian erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Meditation für HKD 72.000,00 (€ 7.877,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Lian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beauties In Tang Poetry beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06) versteigert wurde.
