Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Figures after Chen Hongshou by Jiang Lian. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,437.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jiang Lian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beauties In Tang Poetry, which sold at auction in November 2013 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,073.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures after Chen Hongshou von Jiang Lian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.437,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jiang Lian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beauties In Tang Poetry beobachtet, die im November 2013 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.073,06) versteigert wurde.
