Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jessie Marion King could be acquired at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Tailpiece from The High History of the Holy Graal changed hands for GBP 446.25 (€ 519.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessie Marion King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'No Goblin or Swart Faëry Hath Hurtfull Power' - illustration to John Milton's 'Comus' in December last year with an auction result of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 19,913.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jessie Marion King konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Scottish Art wechselte die Arbeit Tailpiece from The High History of the Holy Graal für GBP 446,25 (€ 519,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jessie Marion King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'No Goblin or Swart Faëry Hath Hurtfull Power' - illustration to John Milton's 'Comus' im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 19.913,84).
