Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux, which included the work Wu Tang Care Bears by Jerkface. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,397.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jerkface achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homerbob Wave (Variant) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 122,237.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wu Tang Care Bears von Jerkface zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.397,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jerkface erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homerbob Wave (Variant) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 122.237,12).
